Year Four Fun!

14/12/22

Year 4 have all been on great form this half term! Everyone worked so hard and did such a fabulous job in our Christmas concert. We really hope we put you in the festive mood!

In art, we have been learning about LS Lowry and Norman Cornish. We have taken inspiration from Lowry to create our very own one-point perspective art. Have a look and see what you think!

In DT, we have have been learning about different types of fastenings. We have been using this knowledge and our expert sewing skills to create a book jacket with a button.

We have been very lucky to receive a weekly one hour ukulele music lesson from Newcastle Music Service this term. Everyone did such a great job that we decided to perform some of our songs to the rest of the school! The children all played and sang beautifully.

The children have done some truly wonderful writing in literacy this half term. The adventure stories that children created in the role of Jim Jarvis were particularly excellent. You might even think they’d been written by children in Year 5 or Year 6!

It really has been a fantastic half term in Year 4. The children all continue to dazzle us every single day with their enthusiasm and hard work. We ho-ho-hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas holiday and a fabulous New Year!
