This week Year 2 had five great artists from Newcastle University come to visit. They kindly brought in some black and white flower shapes for us to use. We had to use chalk pastels to make the flowers look colourful and beautiful! It wasn’t just about colouring in because we did careful shading and also used our fingers for smudging. As you can see we had lots of fantastic fun but we needed to concentrate pretty hard too.
After we had finished shading and smudging we had to cut them out carefully and neatly. Then the helpful visitors turned them into a wonderful mobile piece of art! We hope they come back to visit us again.
