Angry robots and happy jelly!

Year 2 had an important visit from the school nurse. We talked about some of our good feelings and some of our not so good feelings.  We have even tried a few tips to help us stay calm like breathing and counting to ten!

It’s important for us to understand that we might not always be happy but that we should tell an adult we trust so they can help us. We learned about how our bodies feel when we are happy and upset. When we are happy we are relaxed like jelly but when we are angry we become stiff like a robot.

‘It is important to only touch someone in a kind way’ – Emily.

‘It was fun when we had to pretend to be a robot and then jelly. It was much better being jelly!’ – Esme

‘It was interesting to think about what makes us happy, laugh or be angry ‘ – Iona.
